This series contains four files of material relating to the military career of Fleet Surgeon Gilbert Kirker. Documents include an Ottoman Society Certificate, Publications, Photographs and Objects.

1877-1903

This series contains ten subseries, which are further arranged into files and items. The subseries are Medical Training, Career, Patient Records, Personal, Photographs, Publications, Newspaper Clipping, Slides, Artwork and Objects. Medical Training is further arranged into five files, which covers Kirker's training in Trinity College Dublin, his traveling scholarship to the USA, plus his medical notebooks, examinations and certificates. Career is further arranged into 16 files which covers a wide selection of hospitals, colleges, councils, institutions and organisations which John Kirker was associated with or supported. Patient records have been closed to compile with GDPR requirements. Personal is further arranged into nine files, which cover a variety of areas in Kirker's life, such as, Our Sailer King, Order of the Temple of Ireland, marriage, finance, wills, ephemera, charity, caricature and retirement. Photographs are further arranged into ten files, which are, Boston, Sir Patrick Dun's, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Dublin University Biological Association, Biological Society [Club], Conferences, Trinity College Dublin, personal, miscellaneous and dublin hospitals. Conferences has additional arrangement in place. Publications are arranged into six files based on publisher. Newspaper clippings are arranged into three files, Malahide Castle, Migraines and Salt the Donkey. The final three subseries are Artwork of Sir Patrick Dun's Hospitals, Slides and Objects.

1935-2011

This series contains two objects from the Kirker family. The exact owner of these objects is currently unknown. Included is one Almeric Paget Message Corps Armband and one IYA Patch.
