Rosary composed of filigree and dark purple beads. Probably late 18th/early 19th century. Erroneously said to have belonged to Mary Queen of Scots. Accompanied by a piece of cardboard stating "ROSARY SAID TO/BELONG TO/MARY QUEEN OF/SCOTS".

Small corked glass bottle containing snuff. Label inside bottle reads "Buonaparte’s Snuff", and on exterior: "Snuff from/Barry O'Meara/Napoleon's box".

Daguerreotype of an unknown gentleman wearing a waistcoat and long coat, standing beside a chair and holding a pocket watch in his hand. In a leather and velvet case with two small metal hooks on the outside to keep it closed.

Bronze bust of Napoleon Bonaparte as First Consul. On a red marble base. [After Louis-Simon Boizot?]

[Mother-of-pearl] handled lancet with metal blade marked "WARREN". Accompanied by a handwritten note, which reads: "The lancet with which Napoleon was bled by/my old friend Barry O'Meara, & He gave it to me,/J[...] O'Meara; & a very small bit out of Napoleon's/box & two or 3 small bits of other things, not long after/he came to Ireland". Note is written in the same hand as that on bottle of snuff (FCD/2).

Bronze medal. Obverse: uniformed bust of Napoleon, facing right, surrounded by the words "NAPOLEON BONAPARTE" and the names "MUDIE" and "WEBB", below. Reverse: Napoleon sitting on a rock with head bowed, winged figures beside and above him, the words "NAPOLEON AT ST. HELENA" underneath and the names "MUDIE" and "MILLS" on either side. Some slight dents around the edge.

Toothbrush set believed to have belonged to Napoleon. Contains: (1) toothbrush with silver handle and animal hair bristles set in a piece of ivory, maker's mark "IT" for Joseph Taylor and hallmarked Birmingham, 1804. Possibly also a French import mark; (2) tooth powder case with two separate compartments, lids hinged at the centre. Same markings as the toothbrush; (3) double rounded-ended [silver] utensil, possibly for mixing the powder; (4) red Morocco leather case, in two parts, both embossed with a fleur-de-lis.

Bronze medal by Nicolas Guy Antoine Brenet and Bertrand Andrieu. French, 1807. Obverse: laureate head of Napoleon, facing right, surrounded by the words "NAPOLEON EMP. ET ROI." and on the neck, "ANDRIEU F." Reverse: man with a long beard positioned crosslegged in front of mountain with a winding line of army traffic behind him ascending it; perforated through the word "SIMPLON" below his feet. Some dents around the edge.

Bronze medal commemorating the 1920 centenary of the founding of the Academy of Medicine of France. Depicts allegory of Medicine, seated on one side and standing looking towards the future on the other, surrounded by medical instruments; with the words "CENTENAIRE DE L'ACADÉMIE DE MÉDECINE 1820-1920" and the maker's name "PAUL RICHER". Edge is stamped "BRONZE". In dark green presentation box.

Medal commemorating the opening of the Palais de l'Industrie exhibition hall in Paris in 1855. Obverse: profile busts of Empress Eugénie and Emperor Napoleon III, facing left, surrounded by the words "EUGÉNIE IMPÉRATRICE. NAPOLÉON III EMPEREUR" and underneath, the maker's name "CAQUÉ. F./GRAVEUR DE S.M. L'EMPEREUR." Reverse: an interior view of the Palais de l'Industrie exhibition building and underneath, the words "PALAIS DE L'INDUSTRIE/VUE DES GALERIES" and maker's names "JACQUES WIENER FEC." and "MANGUIN DEL." Edge is stamped "CUIVRE".

Ivory statuette of Napoleon wearing a long coat and hat, right hand behind back and left hand in waistcoat. On a wooden base.

Circular wooden [snuff] box. Lid is inset with metal medal depicting Napoleon dressed in uniform with arms folded, surrounded by the words: "APOTHEOSE DE NAPOLEON".

Circular paper mache [snuff] box. Black in colour. Lid is inset with medal depicting Napoleon dressed in uniform, facing right, surrounded by his name and underneath, the maker's names Mudie and Webb.

1820

Knight Bachelor's badge. Consists of red enamel and silver gilt, which is worn. Oval-shaped with hinged pin on the back. Obverse: sword in the centre with spurs on either side. Reverse: the maker's mark "RJ" and hallmarks for London, 1926. Awarded to Sir Frederick Conway Dwyer. In red presentation box.

Small mahogany instrument case with green velvet lining, brass fittings and escutcheon on the lid engraved "Mr L McCoy". Contains provenance note of Barry O'Meara's lancet (ref. no. FCD/1).

Small glass box with perforated [silver] lid containing a cake of soap with a profile image of Napoleon on one side and the Empress Joséphine on the other. Soap is much cracked.

Miniature of an unknown gentleman dressed in a blue coat and wearing a wig. In an oval case, hinged, closed by two clasps and with a red leather exterior. Accompanied by a visiting card of Doctor McCoy with a handwritten note in pencil: "Doctor C. Dwyer/with kindest regards".
